$10,000 to launch your business.
The 2008 Entrepreneur Challenge is designed to provide a platform for local entrepreneurs, FIU students, and FIU alumni to showcase new ideas, while providing a forum to attract investment for their business models and social message. This year the challenge has created two tracks to choose from:
• Investment Track
• Social Entrepreneurship Track
Which track should I enter?
If you are an FIU student or FIU alumni you are eligible to enter either track. If you are not an FIU student or FIU alumni, you are only eligible to enter the Social Entrepreneurship Track.
Investment Track
Top Prize $10,000, Runner Up: $2,500
Open to all FIU Students & Alumni.
To qualify for the Challenge Investment Track, the proposed venture must be an original seed stage, for-profit, start-up venture.
Social Entrepreneurship Track
Top Prize $10,000, Runner Up: $2,500
Open to all Southeast Florida Area Residents (Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties) and all FIU Students & Alumni.
To qualify for the Challenge Social Entrepreneurship Track, the proposed venture must be an original seed stage, start-up social venture.
